Dear Fellow Citizens and distinguished Latvian Friends,

As of 1 May 2026, I have assumed my duties as the Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to the Republic of Latvia.

It is a distinct honor and privilege to serve in friendly and allied Latvia, with which we proudly marked the centenary of the establishment of our diplomatic relations in 2025.

Firmly grounded in a longstanding tradition of friendship, our relations with Latvia continue to advance steadily across all fields, while our close cooperation in international fora is further deepening. Together with my colleagues, we remain fully committed to further strengthening and to elevating our bilateral ties. In this regard, we will continue to support the business communities of both countries with a view to enhancing bilateral trade and encouraging mutual investments.

The Turkish Cemetary inCēsis stands as a solemn testament to the historical bonds between our nations. At the same time, growing number of Latvian visitors whom we are delighted to host in Türkiye, as well as our students pursuing their education in Latvia, continue to enrich and further solidify the enduring friendship between our peoples.

I would like to emphasize that the doors of our Embassy are always open. I would greatly value your views and suggestions, which will assist us in serving you more effectively and in further advancing Türkiye-Latvia relations.
